The course will be conducted in a systematic method from introduction of basic Chinese pronunciation-pinyin, sentence construction, grammar to daily conversation and free expression in Chinese. Elements of Chinese culture will be introduced throughout the course.

This small group class is suitable for all levels. Recommended for long-term committed students of Chinese.

​The Chinese character has gradually evolved over 3000 years. In this course, students will learn the basic character strokes; read, write and pronounce 150 of the most commonly used, simplified characters in the form of simple sentences; and speak simple sentences conversationally.

Planning a holiday in China? Doing business ? Or a study tour? Visiting a friend maybe? Come, learn how to negotiate the basics as you travel around.  The small group course is tailored to the business or holiday travellers’ needs.  Right from the airport, to taking the taxi to the hotel, to ordering at restaurants, and most importantly, to breaking the ice in business meetings and conferences, you’ll learn to communicate effectively in Mandarin. The programme includes basic Chinese for asking directions, reading signs, and social greetings.
