Carrie has been teaching Mandarin in Singapore for more than 20 years now. A qualified language teacher, with proficiency in French and English, besides Mandarin, Carrie has taught students of different nationalities and age groups. From school going children to professionals and enthusiasts with a passion for learning new languages. She is MOE Registered full time teacher.

 

     Carrie was born and raised in Beijing. She completed her education there, graduating with Literature from Beijing Teaching University. She has a BA in English Literature and Education. Moving to Singapore in 1998, Carrie taught at Berlitz and Hollandse club for a few years, and then started her own Mandarin teaching programme. She has conducted Chinese courses in the EOS (Earth Observatory of Singapore) in Nanyang Technological University, has worked as a part-time teacher previously at the Singapore American School, and the International French School.

                  Carrie is conversant with the requirements of various                international and local school systems. She has tutored IB                   students over the years. She also teaches IGCSE and O Levels           students, as wells as primary and secondary school children. All         the students have achieved A* in IGCSE, 7 or 6 in IB，90%                 students have achieved 7 in IB Chinese SL.  Highest scores of             IGCSE is 99 and IB is 97.

 

            Mandarin as a business language has grown in significance.       Carrie teaches professionals, both individually and in programmes     initiated by companies.

       

            Of course, if anyone is keen to learn Mandarin for the love of       the language, Carrie is only too happy to teach them.

 

     Carrie specialises in teaching English language to Chinese    nationals here in Singapore. She was a trained full-time English teacher in Beijing Electronic & Machinery Ministry and a professional interpreter and translator in Lufthansa in Beijing before she moved to Singapore.

 

      With her Chinese background and bilingual, English classes can be easier and enjoyable. She is particularly popular with manland Chinese students .

       Carrie在北京出生和长大，毕业于北京外语师院英语文学系。她拥有英语文学和教育学士学位。 1998 年搬到新加坡，在伯利兹（ Berlitz ）教了几年书，然后开始了自己的教学生涯。她曾在新加坡美国学校和法国学校担任代课老师。 ​

 

      Carrie 熟悉各国际和当地学校系统的要求。多年来，她一直辅导IGCSE 和 IB 学生。所有学生在 IGCSE 中均取得 A*，在 IB 中取得 7 或 6 分, 其中 90% 的学生荣获 IB 中文7分的优异成绩。2023年， IGCSE最高分是99分，IB是97分。

        Carrie 也擅长向中国学生教授英语。她是一位训练有素的英语老师和专业口译员。 在移居新加坡之前，她在北京机电部电子工程学院教授英文三年，​后又在德国汉莎航空公司担任翻译。 有了她的中国背景和双语，英语课会更轻松和愉悦！ 尤其为中国大陆学生青睐！
